      Job Description

      4-6 months internship placement for business students across various departments, providing hands-on experience and exposure to real business operations.

      Key Responsibilities

      Purchasing

      • Maintain the ERP system for the PO report.
      • Liaise with internal end users from the Production & Mechanical department for the order activities.
      • Liaise with the vendor on the rejected part.
      • Key in reject parts in the server & files for the end user.
      • Received rejected parts and record them based on the reject code.
      • Follow up status of rejected parts from the vendor by email or call.
      • Pull the PO Report & trace the outstanding overdue orders.
      • Support organizing and participating in stock takes at regular intervals.

       Inventory Control

      • Prepare and complete the JO materials that are ready or picked according to the production schedule.
      • Receive and process JO withdrawal according to the ERP system.
      • Ensure stock movements are recorded accurately.
      • Report any discrepancies.
      • Support organizing and participating in stock takes at regular intervals.
      • Assist in store operations, including the arrangement and allocation of storage areas for inventories and goods transferred, and project allocation.
      • Assist in running an efficient store operation which is able to fulfill operational and requestor demand and meet set targets.
      • Assist in resolving any issues or problems that occur in the store/warehouse.
      • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
      • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
      • Other duties as required by the supervisor.

      Shipping

      • Data entry and updating import documents and materials.
      • Filing customs documents, including import declaration forms (K1).
      • Maintain the shipping filing system.
      • Update the latest import documents and materials (MAT) documentation weekly.
      • Filing important shipment documents, including export declaration forms (K2), purchase orders (PO), shipment orders (SO), and invoices.
      • Maintaining proper organization of documents for the Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW).
      • Conduct PO reference label searches and assisted in compiling materials for quality assurance (QA) purposes.
      • Updated sales and service parts (SP) data monthly.
      • Assist in expediting shipments for delivery, specifically handling GD Express self-collection.
      • Assist in unloading goods at the company’s loading bay.

      Requirements

      • Candidate must possess or be currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree
        in Business Studies/Logistics/Economics/Inventory Management or
        equivalent.
      • Applicant must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas.
      • Internship duration: minimum 4 to 6 months.
