      Job Description

      The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and improving electrical systems for production equipment and machinery. This role plays a key part in ensuring reliable equipment performance through electrical design, component evaluation, troubleshooting, documentation control, and support for continuous improvement initiatives.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Create and maintain electrical circuit diagrams and schematics for new equipment, ensuring reliable performance, safety, and compliance with engineering standards.
      • Identify, assess, and test electrical and electronic components to ensure optimal functionality, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
      • Develop and implement standardized wiring layouts and electrical assembly practices to improve consistency, efficiency, and maintainability across production equipment.
      • Review existing electrical circuits and control systems, recommending enhancements to improve equipment performance, reliability, and safety.
      • Prepare and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) for electrical hardware, ensuring proper component specification and traceability.
      • Diagnose and resolve electrical and control system issues during equipment assembly, testing, commissioning, and operation.
      • Manage electrical drawings, schematics, technical specifications, and engineering documentation to ensure accuracy and version control.
      • Work closely with engineering, production, and service teams to support equipment development, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
      • Perform ad-hoc engineering assignments and technical support activities as required to meet project and business objectives.

      Requirements

      Education & Experience 

      • Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience; or
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.

      Technical Competencies

      • Ability to read, interpret, and create electrical circuit diagrams and schematics.
      • Knowledge of electrical and electronic components, control systems, and industrial wiring practices.
      • Experience in electrical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
      • Familiarity with BOM preparation and engineering documentation control.
      • Knowledge of electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent is an added advantage.
      • Understanding of electrical safety standards and engineering best practices.
